Unicorns are wonders, rare even in mythology, and highly valued. Who wouldn’t love a colourful horse which is different and more special than all the other horses. Featuring photos from Nicky’s 6th birthday party, here are some ideas for a children’s unicorn birthday party:
Unicorn Colour
Bright joyful colours are key to creating the unicorn party joy.

Party Entrance
Rule number one of any party is to put balloons on your letterbox or front door. This will assure your guests they are at the right place. Docorate your driveway or entry with chalk hearts sprinkled with glitter.

Choose your decor to match your colour scheme – a great place to start is at your local dollar shop, department store or party supply warehouse.

Party classics were chosen by the birthday girl including:

- Musical Statues
Nicky made unicorn horns out of metallic cardboard and glittery ribbon and placed them in a basket on the table. You could also use party hats to create a unicorn horn.
Nicky also had unicorn relay races using crafted pool noodle unicorns:

And of course, every unicorn party needs face paint – hire a professional face painter, or if you have an artistic family member or friend, you can purchase face paints and have them paint faces for you.
