The key colours for your spy party are of course black and silver, and since it all needs to be pretty secretive (to protect the spies), you can go minimal on the balloons and streamers etc. But here are a few ideas set the scene:

  • Put up some caution tape around your party area;
  • Have a spy gear room or table where party guests can collect equipment such as dark sunglasses, hats, and other disguises, magnifying glasses, binoculars, and walkie-talkies;
  • Write invisible ink messages or clues on walls or large posters. Provide black lights for the guests to discover hidden messages as they explore the party space;
  • Place some “aliens” around your party area to reference the movie ‘Men In Black’. These could be in the form of soft toys, character toys or even polaroid pictures of your alien friends;
  • Shape your birthday cake like a bomb or secret agent suitcase.
